DrayTek at CeBIT 2013

HSINCHU, Taiwan DrayTek Corp. (TSE:6216), a Taiwan-based networking solutions provider, today announces to bring the latest networking solutions for the Mid-sized and Small business segments at CeBIT 2013 in Hannover Germany (March 05-09 ; Hall 13, Stand C56). Every showcased VPN/firewall router, specifically designed for the target customers is IPv6 ready and centrally manageable by the VigorACS SI through the TR-069 protocol. Hence, our solutions deliver the robust business networks and ensure the business continuity that helps you always stay one-step ahead of the competition.
Mid-sized Business Solutions
DrayTek will introduce the Vigor2960 Series, the 2013 Taiwan Excellence Award Winner to the mid-sized businesses. It includes the Vigor2960 (2 Gigabit Ethernet WAN ports) and Vigor2960F (1 SFP Fiber / 1 Gigabit Ethernet). They all offer the advanced WAN Redundancy / Load-balance to ensure your organization to stay connected. The flexibility of WAN interface gives the scalability to add more WAN links to increase bandwidth as the business growth. By the dual WAN links, the organization can guarantee the SLA as offering cloud-based application services. With the implemented Authoritative DNS server, our CPEs can do inbound load-balance to guide the outbound requests through the available links to access the application server. We additionally provide the weighted management making the fatter pipe(s) handle more requests.
To optimize the usage of the subscribed bandwidth, DrayTek provides the novel bandwidth management/QoS (Quality-of-Service) for the VoIP, data and multi-media streaming. The QoS function handles both incoming & outgoing packets and can do QoS re-tag to guide another router in the ISP site to process applications based on the suitable priority. User can extend the QoS coverage from the LAN site to the WAN site.
The secure network is also important to the business continuity. The 802.1q tag-based VLAN functions allow multi-subnets to be allocated for multiple workgroups. When combined with the NAT and firewall functions, you can design corporate network groups in terms of traffic, security level, priority settings, etc. Applications such as VoIP can also be integrated into VLAN tags and firewall objects, giving you the maximum flexibility in designing workgroups for your organization. The Content Security Management (CSM) function further helps the firewall manage the network more effectively. You can control the usage of different applications (e.g. Skype/Dropbox…) and set keyword to block the access to certain URLs in both HTTP & HTTPS scenarios. As enabling the web content filter license, powered by Commtouch GlobalView Web Content Filter (WCF), the IT staff can quickly define what types of websites not allowed employees to access just by ticking boxes in the pre-defined categories.
For the secure inter-office / remote access, DrayTek’s renowned VPN feature covers site-to-site & client-to-site applications and allows users with the flexibility to choose PPTP/IPsec/L2TP protocols. The multi VPN protocols allow the Vigor router to easily connect with current deployed routers from other vendors. The VPN load-balance & redundancy (failover) is available in the site-to-site scenario via the GRE over IPsec technique. The Central VPN Management (CVM) can do Firmware Upgrade / Configuration backup & restore / Google Map / Status / VPN to Topology & management for Vigor routers deployed in the remote sites.
Note: For larger organization, you can choose the Vigor3900 for the multi-WAN interface (Five Gigabit WAN - 4 Ethernet & 1 SFP) and 500 VPN tunnels (Up-to 800Mbps for IPsec LAN-to-LAN).
Small Business Solutions
DrayTek will bring another two 2013 Taiwan Excellence Award Winners to small businesses including the Vigor2860 Series (VDSL2/ADSL fallback) and Vigor2925 Series (Broadband). The Vigor2860 Series has one VDSL2 WAN port and one Gigabit Ethernet WAN port and the Vigor2925 Series has two Gigabit Ethernet WAN ports to manage different network infrastructures.
Both the Vigor2860 Series and Vigor2925 Series ensure the business continuity for today and the future IPv6 network. Their dual WAN interface can accept various high-speed Ethernet-based WAN links via FTTx/xDSL/Cable. The 2 USB ports are for 3G/4G LTE mobile broadband access. With the multi-WAN accesses, Vigor2860/2925 routers support bandwidth management functions such as failover and load-balancing, making them ideal solutions for reliable and flexible broadband connectivity for the small business office.
The specifications cover many functions that are required by modern day businesses, including secure but easy to apply firewall, comprehensive VPN capability, Gigabit LAN ports, USB ports for 3G/4G mobile dongles, FTP servers and network printers, VLAN for flexible workgroup management, and much more.
